Rules during tournament
This tournament will be played according to the most recent CMAS rules.
The following exceptions/tournament rules apply. The use of a three-referee system is included.
- Subbing is done by side-line substitution
- No time-outs.
- No penalty shots. If the situation occurs that a penalty shot would normally apply, a penalty goal will be awarded
- Protest cannot be submitted
- Instructions given by a member of the organization must be followed. If not, rule 6 will come into effect
- Any unsportsmanlike conduct during the tournament (in and out of the water) can result in exclusion from the tournament, future tournaments, dinner, party and/or other events hosted by OSCD
The point system is: Win = 2, Tie = 1, Loss = 0
Ranking after the classification round works as follows:
- Most points
- Head-to-head score
- The least number of counter goals (during playoffs)
- Most number of wins
- Least number of losses
- Lowest sum of goals against (including round-robin)
- Coin toss
The ranking during the top round and sub-round works similarly to playoffs:
- Winning results in finals, if not then
- Golden goal overtime
- Two players leave the playing area immediately so a 4 against 4 game
- Restart within 1 minute
- No more subbing after this minute
- If a player is in the Sin bin you play with 3 until penalty time is over
- Max of overtime is 5 minutes
- If there is still a tie after 5 minutes the winner is decided by a coin toss
Finals for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the top and sub-top poule will be played. In the final games, the last 2 minutes are "pure playing time", so the clock is stopped every time the game stops, except when a goal is scored.
